Physical therapist certificate requirements would be beneficial to those candidates who would like to get into the career involving therapeutic treatments which cures the physical ailments or disabilities of patients. There are certain minimum requirements that have to be complied with by the individual who wants to possess the physical therapist certificate. The minimum criteria to be met by all candidates who are applying for the physical therapist certificate are as follows:

a)      Candidates who have completed their education – bachelor’s and preferably masters – or who have completed their education and are working professionals, can take up the physical therapist certificate.

b)      Candidates who are working as physical therapist are required to perform some tasks like taking the patient to hospital for cure, handling tools and equipment, handling patients during medical treatment, etc.

c)      It is not mandatory to possess the physical therapist certificate, organizations have a curriculum to provide training to incumbents hired for the position of a physical therapist certificate.

d)     In order to obtain the physical therapist certificate, candidates need to at least complete their high school training.

Other requirements to obtain a Physical Therapist certificate:

  1. Candidates need to have extra knowledge and expertise in physical therapy, anatomy, medical tools and techniques, etc.
  2. Candidates can take up physical therapist certificate in any of the geriatrics, paediatrics, orthopaedics, etc.
  3. Candidates should pursue their part time or full time study in only top accredited colleges.
  4. Candidates should also possess at least 1-3 years of experience along with completed their education with minimum pass percentage.
  5. There are many schools and colleges that teach specialised courses in geriatric physical therapy which students can enrol and take advantage of. These are very well designed and taught by excellent pedagogy.
